GiliSoft File Lock Pro is a powerful and reliable application that helps you deal with the need to make sure that your confidential files are truly private and protected against prying eyes or unauthorized access. GiliSoft File Lock Pro does that by offering you the possibility to hide the sensitive files, leave them in plain sight, but lock the access to them, protect against have them modified by making them read-only, or even encrypt them with military-grade algorithms.
GiliSoft File Lock Pro is a simple-to-use application that comes with a neat and intuitive interface. Beginners can use this tool without any problem. Though easy-to-use, it's a feature-rich and comprehensive application that packs handy additional functions such as a folder monitor that lets you keep an eye of any changes performed to a directory's content without your intervention.
I like a lot the encryption function of this tool, as it lets you encrypt your files to an EXE self-executable package and carry them around with you anywhere you like, being able to unpack them with ease while they're safe and secure at all time, given that you're the only one that knows the password needed to access them. Anyway, the program can protect files and folders regardless of their location, may they be on an internal hard drive, flash drive, external USB drive, thumb drive, memory card, pen drive, or even network drive. Furthermore, there's also a neat file shredder that helps you completely and permanently erase files, beyond recovery. more

I was under the impression that I would see the locked folder and then just enter the password created in File Lock Pro to open the folder and see its content. It also hides the locked folder on my own PC as well.
Of course, it creates an EXE file and with this I can unlock it but if I want to use it in a different way, this is no use for me.
Example: If I want to hide a folder in a purpose to protect it to avoid some people to see the locked folder when using a video player app on my iPad with a SMB/CIFS access, I just don't see the locked folder and I can't open an EXE file with an iPad!
What's wrong?
